YEBOAH ART INITIATIVE

YEBOAH ART INITIATIVE

  • The Yeboah Art Initiative is the community-rooted nonprofit arm of YEBOAH Studios, dedicated to using art and design as tools for social connection, cultural exchange, and collective growth. Grounded in local communities while maintaining a global perspective, the Initiative exists to support emerging voices, foster creative infrastructure, and create spaces where art is not treated as a luxury, but as a shared resource. Through partnerships, programming, and direct engagement, it extends the studio’s values beyond commercial practice and into sustained community impact.

  • Our mission is to empower individuals and communities through access, education, and opportunity, bridging the worlds of art, youth, and global collaboration. We work to remove barriers to creative participation by providing learning opportunities, mentorship, and platforms for expression, particularly for young people and underrepresented creatives. By connecting local initiatives with international dialogue, the Yeboah Art Initiative cultivates exchange across borders, disciplines, and lived experiences, reinforcing art’s role as both a personal pathway and a collective force.

  • Lloyd Foster is the founder of YEBOAH Studios and the YEBOAH Art Initiative. With roots in Accra and New York City, his work is shaped by movement between cultures, geographies, and communities. As a photographer, Foster documents humanity across the African continent, focusing on the strength, creativity, and complexity of the communities he encounters. Witnessing the vitality of these places, and the ways stories are too often excluded from global conversations, inspired him to create the YEBOAH Art Initiative as a means of building bridges through art, education, and shared exchange.
